Born in Jima Abajo, La Vega, Dominican Republic, Darguin Fortuna's journey is a testament to his resilience and vision. After arriving in the United States in 2010, Fortuna's passion for architecture propelled him to the forefront of the industry. He honed his skills at the Boston Architectural College (BAC), where he received multiple honors, including the Dean Arcangelo Cascieri Scholarship, the Henry Adams Medal & AIA Certificate of Merit, and the Excellence in Applied Learning Through Practice Award.

Professional Achievements and Leadership

Since becoming a registered architect in 2018, Fortuna has expanded his professional footprint across several states, including Massachusetts, Maine, Florida, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and New York, and has earned NCARB certification. In 2018, he founded Flow Design, a firm celebrated for its innovative approach to architecture, industrial design, graphic design, virtual design, and design installations. At Flow Design, Fortuna leads a dynamic team, focusing on design implementation, architectural research, and fostering an enthusiastic work environment.

In addition to his professional practice, Fortuna has served as an adjunct professor at the BAC since 2012, where he continues to inspire and educate the next generation of architects. His contributions to the architectural community have been recognized by several distinguished organizations. In 2019, he received the BAC Emerging Designer Award, and in 2022, he won the AIA Film Challenge Award for his impactful film, "The Change We Seek."
